DIY Shredded Tee

Hi all! Long time no see, huh? Okay, soo many things keep distracting me from my blog. The truth is, I never had the right mood to write something here. I should have written more thoughts, though.

So okay, what I recently did is transforming this old boring grey t-shirt

into something cool like this
YEAH! D-I-Y Shredded tee! Woohoo. I did the sleeve with Kat Von D's style while the shredding is Camille's style. Anyway Camille is from Childhood Flames. I adore her clean, classic, simple style. So, here's the step...

What you will need:
- a t-shirt
- scissor
- seam ripper

1. Cut out all the hem

2. Now use your seamripper, or finger, or some pointy tool to pull out a thread from the edge of the hem. You will see when you're pulling it, the thread will loosen. Don't worry when you break some thread. Determine how wide you'd like your panel of shredded part to be. Then pull the next thread and so on until you have loosen a couple threads.

3. When you already have severals threads loosen you can just use your finger to pull the fabric to rip out the rest. It's okay when you break some threads as it is not ought to be tidy. Make some panel until you satisfied.

4. Now for the sleeves. Feel free to cut the sleeves.

5. Then cut them in half.

6. Tie each halves to fit your arm. You might need a little help here. You can even tie two halves at a time or even three.

oops pardon the shadow on the photo.

7. After you tie all the halves you might want to cut out the excess from the tie so it won't dangling around make it looks ugly.

So, here it is once again THE DIY SHREDDED TEE!

Blue Sky Collapse

Blue Sky CollapseMusic and Lyrics by Adhitia Sofyan
As I walk to the end of the line
I wonder if I should look back
To all of the things that were said and done
I think we should talk it over

Then I noticed the sign on your back
It boldly says try to walk away
I go on pretending I'll be ok
This morning it hits me hard that

Still everyday I think about you
I know for a fact that's not your problem
But if you change your mind you'll find me
Hanging on to the place
Where the big blue sky collapse

As I stare at the wall in this room
The cracks they resemble your shadow
When everyday I see time goes by
In my head everything stood still

I'm waiting for things to unfreeze
Til you release me from the ice block
It's been floating for ages washed up by the sea
And it's drowning, thought you should know that

You see people are trying
To find their way back home
So I'll find my way to you

So Many Things to Tell

1. I fell in love with Adhitia Sofyan's song after I heard Adelaide Sky, one of his song in Raditya Dika's movie, Kambing Jantan. You can download his songs and the lyrics here. And I should say that I expected too much from Kambing Jantan the Movie. It just not as good and not as funny as I thought it will be. Raditya Dika said in his blog that if you laugh at Woody Allen's movie Descontructing Harry then you will laugh at his movie too. He did the movie with Woody Allen style, anyway. But somehow, most Indonesian people are just not that smart, he should realize. And sorry to say, Herfiza Novianti, this is not sinetron ok? Poor acting. Be thankful that you are Raditya Dika's girlfriend. Edric Tjandra is totally funny as usual. Very natural. Brilliant work.

2. I've just watched Sigur Ros' video, Gobbledigook, from Með Suð í Eyrum Við Spilum Endalaust which was out in 2008. This video was made by Arni & Kinski collaborated with photographer Ryan McGinley. I won't put the video here because, rrrr, just watch it. Just find it in Youtube or somewhere else. Okay, so actually the video is beautiful! The nature of Iceland which is oh-so-green and calming combined with tribal beat, and also naked people running and dancing all around showing happiness and freedom. I don't think it's erotic, but still, it's disturbing. That's why I won't put the video here.

3. Tomorrow, there will be Opera Ganesha held at Sasana Budaya Ganesha! Watch me watch me! I'm going to sing with PSM. We will sing 4 songs, Gaudeamus Igitur, Naik Delman, Funiculi Funicula, and Mentari. This is a collosal show. All art and culture student unit will be involved. Purwacaraka also involved as the music director. I expect the show will be magnificent, lustruous, amazing, fantastic, okay I'm being too hysterical, but I'm soooo excited!

4. I met three, THREE handsome guys at the rehearsal. Okay, enough said.

5. I found out that the message board in ITB is full with critiques from students. I must admit what they wrote are right. The Dies Emas celebration was toooo big! ITB is full of decorative stuff which definitely costs A LOT. Is it a show-off? And I regret the fact that ITB put some names who donate 50 billions rupiah on Labtek! What, did they buy ITB? I smelled some commercialism and collution here. I read one of the message "Kalo udah gede mau beli CC ah, biar namanya bisa dipajang," And this is what I write: "Lumayan bisa foto-foto norak. Kapan lagi coba Dies Emas?" anyway, Happy 50th Birthday, ITB!

Anjing, Gue Dibentak Sopir Angkot!

"Neng, kalo mau turun mah turun aja! Dari tadi naik turun naik turun! Kalo mau cepet mah naik taksi aja!"

Saya sih sok ketawa-ketawa aja sambil ngomong, "Maaf Bang, abis buru-buru!" padahal dalam hati saya memakinya "Anjing! Siapa elu bentak-bentak gue!". Thank you so much, Sopir Angkot, you made my day!

Iya deh, kita impas...

Thrifting Extravaganza

This morning I went thrifting at Pasar Gasibu with Haiti and Meisa. I only want to buy a black dress for PSM, but I ended up buying two other dresses. It is just soooooooo cheap, I can't help myself. It's only 5000 rupiah and if you buy 5 dresses you only have to pay 20.000! Meisa and Haiti bought other 3 dresses which is also inspiring. They also bought some blazers and blouses at other stalls. Haiti bought this brown houndstooth blazer that is soooo cool. She said that she will fix the buttons (they were rusted, euuuugh) and surely I will borrow it someday. Haha. Here is what I bought (sorry for the low quality photos so you can't see the detail of the dresses, I'm using my cell phone to take the photos):

Just You and Me

on my way back to where i should be
i saw the dusk
the beautiful dusk
red sky over the distance
i was drenched in it's majesty
and i started to think about you
being in so many places
just you and me

i wanted to be in a private beach
just you and me
drowning in it's silence
lay on the white sandy beach
smell the salty sea
looking over the blue ocean
thinking about life
with some burst of the breeze

i wanted to be up on the cliff
just you and me
with city lights underneath us
black sky over our heads
hoping that there would be shooting stars
to grant our wishes
thinking about life
with some calming sounds from the crickets

i wanted to be on the highest mountain
just you and me
after so many effort to climb
and feel like on top of the world
being so proud to ourselves
looking way under the clouds
thinking about life
with the cold wind rushing through our bones

i wanted to be anywhere
as long as i'm with you

sorry for the lack of updates

I'm sorry guys for the lack of updates. I've been very busy. I've got so many words in my head. They were running freely but I didn't feel like writing them here.

I promise I will write again soon. Telling you all about my crazy-torturing-gorgeous life. Wkwkwk..

And I'm sorry again that this blog doesn't have many photos in it. You can see all my photos in facebook.

Tata for now
